Yes: I'm not sure if any direct studies have been done relating to diet and how long colds last, but a poor diet means the body in not being optimally nourished, which affects the functioning and effectiveness of the immune system. A well-nourished body will be operating at its best capacity to recover from a cold virus more quickly.
