What causes you to be born without a tail bone? and, if you don't have one, does that mean your children won't either?

Coccyx: The Coccyx, commonly referred to as the tailbone, is the final segment of the vertebral column. In rare cases, one can be born with a congenital anomally and lack of a tali bone, but this is not common. Having this condition, would most likely increase the risk of offspring having the similar trait, but as stated this in uncommon.
