Yes: Urethritis can be caused by bacteria, viruses, mechanical irritation, chemcical irritation and idiopathic. If this persists it is best to have it cultued and seen by a competant physician. Men can carry chlamydia with little to no symptoms. Check for lymph nodes in the groin..that would help to point to a bacterial or viral cause.
