Reflux ulcer worse: There are a few things to consider with dull pain or pressure in that area. Most commonly, you may have esophageal irritation, as with acid reflux. Try TUMS or Pepcid (famotidine) Complete and milk, keep a diary of when it occurs and improves, and see your doc with your observations. You could also have an ulcer, or (rarely) something worse, so if it does not improve, see your doc sooner! Good luck--

I have had pain in my upper stomach for 3 weeks. It tends to be above my belly button up to my sternum. It intensifies with eating but is present even on an empty stomach. I also am slightly bloated and have an increase in gas. No bowel/nausea issues?
