Irregular periods: are common among young women and are often associated with anovulatory cycles. Pregnancy is not likely to occur with anovulatory cycles. Menstrual cycles usually regulate on their own. You may just need to give it some time. Try to maintain a healthy weight and get regular exercise, but not excessive exercise, and take Folic Acid every day to help avoid birth defects when you do get pregnant.
