I Prefer Smirnoff: If the bleeding is not large and you feel no pain or irritation and the urine looks and smells clean then it is just probably (and hopefully) some minor irritation due to passing the catheter. But if it persists or gets worse then you should contact your doctor. Be sure to lubricate the catheter well before insertion and keep the opening protected from irritation with some gauze or a big band-aid.
