First off: Have you taken a pregnancy test and completely ruled that out? I don't know what "a long while" is. The light brown discharge and clots are often old blood and not unusual but yellow discharge is definitely not normal. You really need to see your doctor as soon as you can to talk about your periods and get your discharge tested for infection and possible treatment. Best of luck.
