A member asked:

Can you explain where did i inherit my blood type?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Parents: Your biological parents determine your blood type. Each parent has genes which determine their blood type, and the mixture of genes which their sperm and egg received when formed determine your blood type. In other words, blood types are inherited from both parents, but the particular combination you have may be different from either parent's individual gene makeup.
