Your aorta: Are you thin? Your aorta, the largest vessel you own, runs right down your middle (just left of middle to be exact) from your heart to your groin. If you're thin, it's easy to feel, especially lying on your back. Could that be what you're feeling? Count the rate - is it the same as at your wrist?
