I'm nervous about having sex with my girlfriend, she's on the pill this is her second month on them, should i use a condom for extra protection?

Depends: Many docs recommend a backup form of birth control for at least a month while the body gets used to the pill. After then, I always consider it a form of insurance. It can cut the transmission of some STI's, which is always a plus. If you are leery for another reason, say she is forgetful sometimes or she has pushed you to consider having a kid, it could be wise. These can be a bit troublesome.

Yes: as a backup measure and to protect from STD's. BCP's do not offer protection from STD's.
