37w pregnant & doctors suspect i might have cholestasis, awaiting blood results, what is the usual procedure if you have this condition?

Delivery: Cholestasis is very high risk. Blood tests like bile acids may take up to one week. The diagnosis is based on symptoms of total body itching. The medication Ursadiol can be started. If itching improves then this likely confirms the diagnosis before the tests come back. The management decisions can be difficult. Most recommend delivery after 37 weeks due to the risks with cholestasis.

May be early deliver: If blood work confirms cholestasis, at 37 weeks, induction of labor is a reasonable option. Make sure fetal kick counts are good
