Surprisingly...: The likelihood of conceiving in any given cycle (even when you do everything 'right' - at the right time), is still only around 15% per cycle. And that's why it can take some time, so be cautiously optimistic but don't be discouraged if it takes some time. If you "try" for more than 12 months, and don't conceive, that meets the definition for 'infertility' and then you need to see a doctor .
