Pregnant?: You should start by taking a pregnancy test. Irregular bleeding can be a sign of pregnancy, miscarriage, infection or irregular use of your birth control pill. Some women using birth control do have break through bleeding, so don't think the worst. Your gynecoligist can adjust your pill to a different level of hormone if that's the case, but pregnancy or infection needs to be ruled out.
