A 37-year-old member asked:

what exactly is the worst thing homeopathy could do to you?

Worst thing: The worst thing might be to have a homeopath who does not listen to you, and therefore cannot help you. Then you would continue to suffer your symptoms longer than necessary. Deep-acting remedies must also be prescribed carefully & for clear indications -- aggravations of symptoms can happen. Another problem can be a homeopath who does not refer you to conventional care when prudent. Be well.

A 21-year-old member asked:

If I am on the conventional treatment, can I still start with homeopathy?

YES: Homeopathy can be very helpful even for those on conventional treatments. Homeopathy will never interfere with conventional treatment, but certain drugs may interfere with homeopathy, especially steroids, limiting its effectiveness. But there is no harm in trying homeopathy, and sometimes patients respond surprisingly well even when they are on conventional treatments.

Can homeopathy can help sle?

Dr. Randy Baker
Holistic Medicine 40 years experience
Yes!: Many doctors will be skeptical but i believe homeopathy can be of great value in sle. Sle is a complex illness. Western medical treatments may help but are not curative. The homeopathic literature (for example the journal homeopathic links in 1997) contains case reports of sle cases cured by homeopathy. If interested in this approach, seek care from a well-trained professional homeopath.
A 27-year-old member asked:

Is there a difference between homeopathy and natural medicine?

Holistic Medicine 40 years experience
Yes: Homeopathy is a specific form of natural medicine, based on the theory that a very tiny dose of a substance that causes symptoms in a healthy person can cure those same symptoms in a sick person. There are many other forms of "natural medicine, " but many people mistakenly use the term homeopathy to refer all natural medicine. Yes: Homeopathy does work, but results depend on the accuracy of prescribing. Using the wrong agent will not produce good results, and with homeopathy the remedy selection is the key.

Very true. And perscribing the right remedy can take time and effort; but when the right remedy is found, the result can be rapid and profound.

Yea: It definitely does. It may not work as immediately as traditional medicines but the way it works is to get your body to actually heal the condition itself.
