Might be...: After 40 years old your eyes start experiencing changes and the ability to see near decreases. As you age this can get worse but up to a certain extent. There are other conditions that can cause vision problems like cataracts, macular degeneration, among others and could potentially cause blindness. My suggestion is to see an Ophthalmologist for immediate evaluation and diagnosis.

Possible : Near vision can get worse after the age of 40 due to changes in shape of lens . Cataract is another reason for poor vision . Some people have quicker progression as compared to others . Please get your eye check with optometrist .
