Should be: Low dose birth control pills should be taken each day, preferably at the same time each day. If you have completed an entire pack of pills and have taken a pill everyday, being only an hour late on a few doses, then you should be well protected from pregnancy. If you are taking your last active pill today, you should start your period within the next 2-3 days.
