A possibility: Sound like a typical description of hidradenitis superativa, or persistent abscess-like infections usually under the armpit. Know that smoking is a common exacerbant. Multiple strategies exist to treat, including surgery, and so I would recommend seeing a physician sooner than later. Good luck!
