PCOS: There is hormonal irregularity / imbalance in pcos causing these symptoms. You may have to see your gynecologist to discuss the hormonal option of treatment to regulate the periods

PCODS: often results in anovulatory cycles, a cycle during which an egg is not released and there is no menstrual bleeding. There is no real harm in anovulatory cycles or missing periods, except it can result in difficulty getting pregnant. Birth control pills can regulate periods, but it is not necessary to treat PCODS unless you are trying to get pregnant. There are other meds to treat fertility.
