Wow depends : There is no specific "cutoff" for when it is appropriate to have a child seen by a doctor. I would look at the whole picture and discern whether she is acting normally, is eating and drinking, or is progressively changing. A kid with 102F, running around and playful, should be safe. A kid with 100.5F who looks ill may not be safe. Also consider the duration of fever. Call the office for triage.
