A working brain: Good diabetic educationis the most important tool to help control your diabetes. Educate yourself to diet, weight control, testing, exercise, the signs and symptoms of high and low sugar levels. A glucose machine to test yourself adequately. Seeing the docotr at least every 3-6 mo (depending on control) for visits including lab work, annual urine and dilated eye/retinal eval. And appropriate meds.
