A member asked:

Why would the c3 and c4 levels be low without having an infection and then go back to a normal range? does this indicate thatthere is not a deficiency

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely: C3 and C4 levels can vary rapidly depending on the type immune reaction that may be going on.All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, if you do not have any symptoms, it is not worthwhile worrying about lab results.
