Several possibilites: without an exam, I can only give general information. Certainly after any lung infection including viruses, inflammation continues for up t a month afterwards. one sided numbness can be from a nerve irritated (you'd expect also some weakness; with a stroke, doesn't have to be weakness). Electrolyte abnormalities commonly occur with hyperventilation and/or vomiting BUT would be expected both sides
