Viral Cold: Sounds like this is a viral infection that you caught. Generally it will run its full course of about 7-10 days. Supportive treatment measures like plenty of fluids to drink, cough meds, nsaids like advil etc if tolerated, tylenol, (acetaminophen) allergy meds if any allergic symptoms also manifest are generally enough to help one in dealing with it. If no better in 7-10 days or get worse--see your doctor.
