Possible pregnancy: Urine pregnancy tests are accurate when used for a "late" period. If used too early in the cycle they may not reflect accurate results. Spotting can occur with implantation of a fertilized egg. You may also be experiencing hormone fluctuations and an irregular period, without pregnancy. Test after the time you would normally be due. Always use condoms, spermicide or the pill to avoid pregnancy.
