A member asked:

Would like to know what does this mean in a report - lumbar spine curvature is lost - paraspinal spasm, & scoliosis with convexity to left is seen?

Malalignment: Normally when you look at the low back of a person from the side there is a small curve known as lordosis. When this curve is reduced or straightened it can be from muscle spasm which tends to straighten out the normal curves in the spine. When you look from the back, the spine is normally straight, but in scoliosis it is curved. It may take an MRI to determine the cause of your condition.
