Back lump: Anything you can't see needs to be "seen" by someone who can give a reasonable guess what it is. Then, how to "diagnose" the lump is another matter. Any number of entities, like fatty lumps (lipomas), lymph nodes, skin disease (moles), or a myriad of other things should be at least looked at. See a physician.
