Maybe: Depends on your injury. Many times weight-bearing films can be helpful, but not always necessary. There are subtle findings in non-weight-bearing films that can indicate instability without requiring a weight-bearing film. Also, there is some question how accurate these films are because most people, like yourself, don't put full weight down secondary to pain.
