Feed him/her: Offer him/her whatever s/he is willing to take. Make sure no dental problems eg abscess. Make sure teeth oppose each other enough to chew/masticate. Do dentures fit? Any choking when eating/drinking? May need to change thickness or consistency. Consider swallow evaluation especially after stroke if speech altered. Any difficulty swallowing? Heartburn? Constipation? Thyroid disease? Go c doc 4 eval
