Lyrica (pregabalin) Class C: Hello. No controlled human studies are available; however, animal studies show that Lyrica (pregabalin) crosses the placenta and can contribute to a number of birth defects especially in male babies. Talk with your OB about whether or not benefits of Lyrica (pregabalin) outweigh the risks of this medication. I'm a mom. I wouldn't risk it.
