Probably not very: well. Better to throw the toothbrush away after you disinfect it to protect others, who may want to use it after you've throw it away. Need something stronger than that. Get a new toothbrush for peace of mind. You can afford it. In fact, you can't afford not to!

HUH???: Do you plan to share your toothbrush with other people? Do you plan to use another person's toothbrush??? Unless the brush is used by more than 1 person this question makes no sense. If you have herpes you need to discuss with an expert. If you have herpes you get no benefit from any such treatment of a toothbrush. If you have it you do not catch the same virus again.
