No: Having your period doesn't affect the drug but it could get messy with the gel mixing with your period,also it might not get absorbed well . Better stick to the oral version (Metronidazole ) Hope that answered your question

Yes: if you are using Metrogel vaginal you can still use it while on your period as long as you aren't bleeding heavily.
