Several diagnoses: A knot on top of the foot can be anything from a soft tissue mass to a simple ganglion cyst to an abscess. If there is pain involved you need to be evaluated by a foot specialist and xrays and possibly an MRI is needed. The 'mole' may be incidental but in very rare cases, a malignant skin lesion may be the cause. Go see the doctor!
