Pregnancy test: If you are sexually active you may want to take a pregnancy test. Using a woman's cycle pattern to gauge, whether or not she is pregnant is so unreliable, that gynecologists consider any woman pregnant, unless a pregnancy test shows she is not. If she is not pregnant and continues to have very spaced out cycles then a complete gynecologic work up with blood work is needed to determine the cause.
