What are the pros and cons of a lap band and a gastric sleeve?

Complicated: Fewer and fewer lap bands are being placed these days. The weight loss with them is not as consistent, they can slip, etc. A gastric sleeve has more reliable weight loss, though it is a bigger operation. I'd suggest having a conversation with a bariatric surgeon so that he/she can lay out all risks and benefits. Also, you'd get a chance to ask more questions.
