Gonorrhea: If you had symptoms , the symptoms will go away. The medicine is very effective for this problem most of the time. Check for discharge, fever, pain after the antibiotics.

Take med as directed: If you received an injection of Rocephin (ceftriaxone) (the treatment of choice for Gonorrhea), made sure your partner was treated as well, do not resume sex with partner until at least 7 days after both of you have been treated, and use condoms consistently with sex, you can assume medication worked. Return for retest in 3 months to r/o reinfection. If ur symptoms persist >2wks, return to ur dr.
