Unusual period: It is not uncommon for a woman to have a unusual menstrual period once in awhile. This can happen for many reasons and is usually not anything to be concerned about. Sexually transmitted diseases can be related to menstrual changes, so if you have had unprotected sex, you should be checked for STD. Otherwise, don't worry unless continues > 14 day or bleeding is heavy.
