Otitis externa: If you pull the tragus, and there is tenderness, this may imply an otitis externa infection. This may indicate swimmers ear. Swimmers ear is an infection of the ear canal. It can happen from swimming or simply being submerged in the bathtub. A physician can look inside the canal to detect inflammation or signs of infection. This may then require topical antibiotics. Good luck!
