Could be pregnant : If your period was only 4 days late when did your home pregnancy test, you could have gotten a false negative, meaning you are pregnant but the test was performed too early. If you don't get your period in the next 1-2 weeks perform another home pregnancy test. If still negative and no period, follow up with OB/GYN for blood pregnancy test, which is more sensitive.
