A member asked:

I have a cut in my vagina when i spread it i can see it outside of what i think is called a hymen. it is like a corner, should i be worried?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cut on vagina: Genital skin usually heals relatively fast if there is no repeated trauma or infection. If there is a superficial cut or tear, treating the area gently is usually sufficient for it to heal. If there is redness, pain or swelling, the cut may need to be looked at by a doctor to make sure there is no infection.
