Just continue pack: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time) is very normal happening in about 1/3 of users. It usually self corrects over time. If you are not satisfied or it continues to happen then consider using a different birth control method.Your pregnancy test is neg so you are not pregnant. If pills are not helping PMS then see your doctor to discuss other options.

No: Birth control pills make PMS better 1/3 of the time, worse 1/3 of the time and don't change it 1/3 of the time. However, the heavy bleeding and bleeding before your placebos is not normal. You need to see your PCP or gynecologist for a full history, exam, and appropriate testing to rule out things like infections and abnormal cervical cells. This may just be because you need a different pill.
