More tips: Besides the things already mentioned, daily cranberry juice has been shown to be helpful. Sometimes constipation can interfere with bladder emptying and thus increase UTIs. For postmenopausal women vaginal estrogen cream might help reduce UTIs. If all of these have been done already, then a nightly low dose antibiotic like nitrofurantoin can be helpful.
