My doctor said i have segmental vitiligo. is their a cure for this?

No cure: Segmental vitiligo usually does not respond to medical treatment of any sort. Recently topical tacrolimus was compared with fluticasone and neither helped much. Your physician can talk with you about surgical options, but this must be your choice. Some people like the novel two-color look, but others hate it. It's not a dangerous illness. Only you can choose.

Autoinflammatory?: I like dr. Friedlander's recommendation of tacrolimus, a potent immunosuppressive agent that is quite safe when used on the skin. Vitiligo has always been a mysterious disease hard to characterize. Recently evidence has emerged that vitiligo is not an autoimmune disorder but an autoinflammatory one indicative of a defect in your innate immunity. Talk to your rheumatologist about anakinra.
