A member asked:

Does the soleus connect to any tendons or ligaments at the knee?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Text book anatomy says no but in reality the soleus has fibers that connect to the gastrocnemius and possibly the plantaris which crosses the knee joint. The soleus itself originates right below the knee.
