Yeast infection?: A vaginal yeast infection (candida vulvovaginitis) is the usual cause of such symptoms. If there are visible blisters or open sores, it could be herpes. Severe or recurrent yeast can be a sign of underlying illness, especially diabetes. Contact your doctor. If no sores, she might recommend you first try an over the counter yeast medication, but your must be seen if no improvement in 2-3 days.

Hi. I've been experiencing discharge, odorless and thick, also itchiness,redness and a swollen vulva. I took over the counter yeast infection medicine yesterday. Woke Up, and the discharge has definitely gone down, almost stopped. Swelling as gone down.
I have bad itching around my vulva, exterior vagina, and onto my inner thighs. I am noticing some swelling and what may be a pink/red rash. I have tried using cortisone cream for a few days, but the itching has persisted. What treatment should I try?
