Since the left arm is closer to the heart, is its bp usually higher? i get slightly higher readings on the left, but i've read that it's more common for the right arm to be higher. which is correct?

BP: BP varies beat by beat;so in checking alternately at the two arms will usually yield disparate values within the the range of error,exact simultaneous intra arterial pressures in both upper arms such as with an intravascular pressure transducer would in normal anatomy be identical.
