Category B=safe: This drug is listed as a category "B" drug during pregnancy. This label is applied to drugs where existing studies show no fetal effect in the 1st or later trimesters. Since there is a lack of large scale studies on this and many other meds, it cannot be put in class A, the safest, but it is about as safe as true research can show.
