Ovulation occurs: The same in each cycle regardless of how long menstrual bleeding lasts.It occurs 14days prior to start of next cycle.You can calculTe the approximate date if you know he average cycle length.You the n subtract 14 from that number.

Not related: The duration of your period is not related to when you ovulate. Ovulation starts the process that results in menstruation. When the ovary releases an egg, hormones are released that cause the lining of the uterus to build up in preparation for pregnancy. If the egg is not fertilized, the uterine lining sheds -> menstruation. Ovulation occurs 14 days prior to beginning of period.
