Ppd: i am not sure what ++ mean. We have 5 mm, 10 mm or 15 mm or higher. If FB skin test is positive, chest X-ray is needed to determine how long to treat. If chest x Ray is negative, he probably need to be treated for 9 month with anti to meds

Usually: if the ppd test turned negative for the first time, and he was born in this country and didnt receive the BCG vaccination, usually a chest xray is done and then INH is started for 6 months. A blood test quantiferon can also be done.
