If the skin darkening isn't in the middle of your lower abdomen, it's technically not "lina nigra" Linea nigra is caused by an increase in melanocyte-stimulating hormone. Pregnancy and oral contraceptives are common causes. If you aren't pregnant & not on OCP's, you should see a doctor to be checked for a hormonal problem.
