What do you think about derma rollers ?

A way to induce skin: injury in a somewhat controlled & distributed way. The bigger issue, are the possible/actual appearance changes over time, resulting from the injury, worth the risk of applying the injury? Additionally, even if appearance seems improved - short term, do these result in more skin damage & problems, including appearance, long term, a very real possibilty?
